What does membership mean?
Membership allows you to upload videos, share your videos with your friends, post to your blog, and to edit comments made to your videos, profile, or blog by visitors to the site. Membership is completely free. The site is paid for by advertisers, so members get all the benefits at no cost.
Does membership cost me anything?
No. Membership is completely free.
Video Upload Questions
What kind of videos can I upload?
The site will accept these formats: AVI, MOV, QT, MP4, FLV, ASF, WMV, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, 3G2, 3GPP, 3GP2, RM, RAM, RMVB. Please let us know if you have any difficulties uploading a pet video.
I don't know how to upload a video - can you help me?
The simple answer is YES! However, you should know that every computer system and every camera can be different, so it would be very difficult for us to give instructions for every possible combination of software and hardware. So what we have negotiated for our members is a drastically discounted program with My Computer Works. My Computer Works is a service that will help you with ANY computer problems you have for a very small fixed monthly fee. How big can my video be?
Your video can be up to 100MB.
Is there any content that is forbidden?
Content should contain animals. Content of a sexual nature is completely forbidden - this is a family web site. Content with bad language can be denied. There are not any hard and fast rules regarding language, so determinations is up to the site administrators. But be aware that hard-core cursing is definetly not allowed. Nothing of a sexual nature is allowed. We do realize that in nature there can be be procreation. The decision is completely up to the site administrator's decision. Just use your best judgement, keeping in mind that this is a family web site, and you should be in good shape.
What if I want to put up a video without animals?
We are building a sister site to this one called ComicMoments.com. We will announce when this site is up and running, and you can submit any videos you wish at that time.
Address Book - Friends List
What is the purpose of the address book in my profile?
When you upload new videos or photos, you have the choice of sending any people in your address book a notification of this new posting. It will send them an email with a link to this new video. The purpose of the address book is to store your friends and family email addresses, so they are available when you upload your videos.
Can a person have more than one email address?
Yes, but you will need to put in a new address book entry. Since we just store a name and email address, it is not any extra effort on your part.
Will I get bounced emails if one of my address book entries is wrong?
Yes. When we send out the emial, we send it to your friend, from you. Since you are the FROM party on the emial, if that person's emial is not correct or has expired, you will get the "bounce notice." It will likely have a subject similar to 'Returned mail ...' or 'Undeliverable ...'
